Information from public sources, for research

MedAtlas lets you search for a drug or other asset by brand or generic name and shows the publications and registered clinical trials around it, and how they are connected. It gathers information that others have published. It is for research and information only. It is not medical, regulatory, legal or promotional advice, and it is not a substitute for the primary source or for your own professional judgement.

No recommendation, no approval status

MedAtlas does not recommend, endorse or rank any product, trial, publication or organisation. It does not say whether a product is approved, whether a use is on-label or permitted, or what should be done in practice. Appearing on a map says nothing about quality, safety or efficacy, and the order or size of items on a map is not a finding.

Names and matching can be wrong

When you type a brand or generic name, MedAtlas looks for the same active substance on regulator labels and suggests other names to search with. The match is by exact name only. It can miss names (brands sold only in some countries, development codes, spelling variants) and can include names you did not intend. Check the suggested names before you rely on a search, and add or remove names as needed.

Incomplete and possibly out of date

Maps use open sources only: PubMed, Europe PMC, OpenAlex and ClinicalTrials.gov, with name information from openFDA. Embase and Cochrane CENTRAL are not searched, and many studies and publications are not indexed in any of these sources. A gap on a map is a gap in what was recorded, not a gap in the research. Records change, and a map shows what was retrieved on the date shown on it.

What a connection means

A line between a publication and a trial, or between two publications, shows a relationship that a source or a reviewer recorded, such as a citation or a registry listing. Publication order alone never creates a connection, and a connection does not say what one paper proves about another. Suggested links are suggestions only until a person confirms them.

Trademarks and third-party data

Brand names are trademarks of their owners. They are used here only to identify products, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied. Records belong to their providers, and their accuracy and licence terms are theirs.
